This month, we’re proud to recognize Kate Statkus as our Golden Wrench Award recipient!
Kate has been a vital part of the Oilex team for an incredible 22 years, starting her journey at just 17. What began as helping her mom with administrative tasks quickly evolved into a career built on loyalty, excellence, and heart. Today, Kate wears many hats—managing payroll, accounts payable, and providing vital support across all stores.
While her title is Office Manager, those who work with her know she’s so much more: the calm in the chaos, the problem-solver, the go-to person who always picks up the phone. Her steady presence, deep knowledge of operations, and unmatched dedication have made her a cornerstone of the Grease Monkey team.
Kate is driven by collaboration and takes pride in empowering others. She lives by the belief, “Act as if what you do makes a difference”—because she knows it does.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her daughter, visiting museums, gardening, and soaking up the outdoors. And fun fact—her first car was a 1992 Honda Accord, which she fondly remembers as her “fun little sedan.”
