DENVER, COLO — February 5, 2026 — Oilex Operating LLC (“Oilex”), the largest Grease Monkey® franchisee in the United States, is proud to announce the acquisition of five MasterLube oil change locations in Billings and Laurel, Montana, marking the company’s first expansion into the state.
The acquisition grows Oilex’s footprint from 30 to 35 locations in the region, representing an important milestone in the company’s continued growth strategy.
As part of the transition, the locations will retain the MasterLube name that local customers know and trust, now operating as “MasterLube, Powered by Grease Monkey.” This approach preserves the strong community identity built by MasterLube while introducing the operational support, training, and national brand strength of Grease Monkey.
MasterLube founder Bill Simmons, built the MasterLube name on being involved in the community and building meaningful relationships with coworkers and customers.
“I believe Ron Morrow, Jr. and his company are the best people to take MasterLube into the future,” Simmons said. “But the real stewardship of MasterLube cannot be handed from Bill to Ron. The real stewardship is in the hands of the people who do the work every day.”
